U8 Boys Trip to Croke Park

After a long wait the day finally arrived for our under 8 footballers to make their debuts in the famous Croke Park.

The day started off with the under 8 team been presented with their new Edenderry tops which were kindly sponsored by Pat Mc Bride of PMB Construction. It was then all onto the coach for the trip.

The team arrived at 1. 45 pm and were taken into the stands,to take in a few of the other games. The team were then taken on a tour of the the warm up areas and the team dressing rooms. They then came out got their photo taken on the pitch. Edenderry had two teams of 14 on the day which is a great number considering we had another 8 away on holidays.

Both teams played Na Fianna of Meath, both teams played some great football. Some great passing and the hard work was top class. Both teams came out on top in the games and with the skills on show from theses Cul Redz players it will not be the last time some of them will play in Croker.

After the games both teams got to walk up the famous steps in the Hogan Stand and got lift the Sam. It was then time to head home. The kids were taken to McDonald's in Maynooth which was sponsored by the Club. This was a great day for all the kids and one which they will remember for a long time to come. The club would like to thank all the parents and grandparents who traveled on the day to support our teams. Also the day could not happen without the help of all the coaches on the day and every Tuesday and Saturday morning at Cul Redz.
