U16 Girls 'B' Champs

U16 Ladies Win County B Championship! (Sun. 30.08.15)

Edenderry U16 Ladies overcame a very strong Naomh Malaoise team on Sunday last in Durrow GAA to be crowned this years County B Champions.

A physical game from the outset, Edenderry took an early lead scoring 6 unanswered points in the first 20 minutes. The tables then turned with Naomh Malaoise scoring 3 quick points and a last minute goal left the sides level at half-time 0-6 to 1-3.

Edenderry came out of the blocks in the second half with a goal and a point scored by centre half Rebecca McDonnell only to be answered almost immediately by their opponents bringinging the sides level again at 1-7 to 2-4. The Edenderry girls dug deep then and with further scores from Aoibheann McAndrew, Megan Callan, Fiona Harte and Captain, Emer Lawless, claimed the title on a full-time score line of 3-11 to 2-6.

A fantastic win for the girls and management of Aoife O'Neill, Jade Oglesby and Eoghan Dunne.
