EDENDERRY 5-04
CLARA 5-02
Congratulations to Edenderry Ladies U14s who beat St. Broughans in the County B Shield final on Sunday 08th June 2014 in Clara.
In what proved to be a thrilling encounter with fine football skills displayed by both teams, the Edenderry girls came out on top winning by 5-4 to 5-2.
St. Broughans got off to a flying start playing with the wind scoring a goal within the first 2 minutes. It was clear from the outset that they meant business possibly due to Edenderry's comprehensive win over them in the early rounds of the Championship. But the Edenderry girls dug in and fought tooth and nail for every ball.
From goalie to full forward this was a supreme team effort by the girls with each and every player contributing to the win. Well done girls.
