The U11 Hurlers continue their involvement in the North Kildare League taking on Celbridge and Sallins recently. There is a full programme of games for this age group through the month of September and coaching continues on Thursdays at 6pm.
On Monday evening Edenderry U11 Hurlers travelled to Sallins in Co. Kildare. Sallins, who were this year’s community games finalists narrowly beaten by Ballyhale Shamrocks in the Leinster Final, opened the scoring with two clean points.
Edenderry battled hard throughout the field but were 4 points down at half time. The Reds closed the gap with an early goal in the second half and from then on both teams battled closely right to the end, Sallins winning the game close to the end by a single point.
Edenderry’s hard working U11 players were : Jordan Glynn, Adam Boyne , Sean McMahon , Loughlin Walsh , Lee Pearson Adam McCraith , Mark Byrne ,Martin Keogh , Cillian Lawton , Adam Kelly ,Conor Hynes , and Jake Magher.
