Edenderry U11 Hurlers continued their run in the Kildare Autumn League on Sunday 15th. September with a league game against Eire Óg.
Despite difficult weather conditions Edenderry created the opening score with a well worked ball out of the backs and finished over the bar for a point from Lee Pearson. Some serious defending in the full and half back lines from Sean McMahon, Lee Pearson, Mark Byrne and Adam McCraith prevented Eire Óg from taking control.
Edenderry did provide Eire Óg with scoring chances by giving away frees within scoring range, but these scores were countered by goals scored by Adam Boyne and Martin Keogh. Edenderry pushed on with impressive team play by James Jones, Adam Kelly and Conor Hynes. New players to the panel , Ben Convey and Jake Magher showed serious determination and skill and standing strong in goals Jordan Glynn helped Edenderry to finish the game with a 5 point lead .
The final score Edenderry 3 - 7 Eire Óg 2 - 5
