U10 Hurling Blitz in Wexford

Edenderry U10 Hurlers will travel to Wexford next Sat 13th August to take part in a blitz organised by the Naomh Eanna club of Gorey.

This will be Edenderry's second visit to the blitz following on last year's defeat in the semi-final.

Edenderry GAA wish the team and management every success in this years event. An U8 blitz is also due to take place on 27th August.

The details of the blitz and teams taking part are as follows:

The tournament will be made up of 2 groups of 4 teams, each team will play minimum of 4 games, 3 group games and a semi final. A Shield competition will take place for the Clubs bringing 2nd teams.

Teams participating are Naomh Eanna and Craanford from Wexford, Ballygunner from Waterford, Naas from Kildare, O’Loughlin Gaels, James Stephens and Piltown from Kilkenny and Edenderry from Offaly.

All games 12 mins a side. Remember it is a fun day for the kids. Please respect the referees, fellow mentors and all the kids.

The games will start at 11am sharp for the Shield tournament and 11.45am for the main tournament; we require all teams to register no later than 11am.

An Open draw to decide the 2 groups for the main tournament will take place at 11am, all welcome to attend.

Please ensure all kids bring a packed lunch, a goodie bag will be provided for all players and tea & sandwiches for team mentors and parents.
