Social night held last Saturday

Last Saturday night Edenderry GAA welcomed its Sponsors and Supporters to the Clubhouse for an Appreciation Night for all of their respective support in 2011. In a nice relaxed atmosphere players, supporters and sponsors mingled and took the opportunity to get some nice photographs with the Dowling Cup. On the night a special presentation took place, Niall Dempsey, Pat Carroll & Andy Walsh representing the Edenderry Chamber of Commerce presented Edenderry GAA with a cheque for €1,000 to help with the costs associated with the Co. Final. Speaking on the night, Club Chairman Colm Cummins thanked all of the sponsors for 2011, in particular Joseph Byrne, JV Byrne, Trevor Ryan Eden Claims & Edenderry Chamber of Commerce got a special mention. Club Captain Richie Dalton, spoke on behalf of the players and he thanked the whole community for their support in the build-up to the final. Richie spoke of how the players appreciated the support and felt it helped push the team on, he finished by saying that he hoped to see everyone in Newbridge next week.

Edenderry GAA would like to thank the organising committee for the event, along with the Rennick’s sisters Ellie, Mary & Liz for the refreshments, Peter Hurley and other local photographers and Colm Guing for providing the music for the evening.
