A Note from John McDonnell

Just letting the good people of Edenderry know and the members of Edenderry GAA CLUB that GMA Shinty Club have graciously accepted the kind offer of twinning with Edenderry GAA and on March 22nd on the Annual Night of the Reds Gala Dinner.

GMA'S 2013 Player of the Year PAUL CREIGHTON will be in attendance to exchange club jerseys and crests and make a presentation on stage during the Shinty segment. It promises to be a glorious night and another exciting chapter in Edenderry GAA History when they form an exciting association with our proud Celtic cousins from Scotland.

IT IS ENVISAGED DURING 2014 THAT BOTH CLUBS WILL PLAY A GAME LATER IN THE YEAR, AND PLANS ARE IN ACTION FOR 2015 FOR EDENDERRY GAA TO PROUDLY HOLD A SHINTY/HURLING FESTIVAL with visiting shinty teams from Scotland and further afield to take part along with our hurling brothers!!!!!
