Edenderry 0-6 2-10 St Brigid's.........................
Edenderry seniors suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of neighbours, St Brigid's, on Sunday afternoon.
Edenderry had plenty of chances in the first half but there shooting was wayward and at the end of the game they could have no complaints about the outcome.
Croghan opened the scoring after five minutes but just two minutes later Philip Farrell leveled matters. The following twenty minutes belonged to the visitors and they hit 1-4 without reply. In the thirtieth minute Keith McGuinness pointed a free for a foul on Richie Dalton.
Half time:
Edenderry 0-2 1-5 St Brigid's
The reds started the second half the brighter and had the better of the exchanges in the first ten minutes, with points coming from Philip Farrell and Keith McGuinness(2) in between a Croghan score.
However between the eleventh and twenty second minute St Brigid's again hit 1-4 to no reply and the reds were resigned to defeat. A late '45 from captain Richie Dalton narrowed the deficit to ten points but it was game over and a poor result for the home side.
