Edenderry 3-12 1-9 Erin Rovers
Edenderry seniors recorded their first league win over of 2013 with a nine point win over Erin Rovers on Saturday evening. Aided by the return of Ciaran Hurley, Mark Young and Keith McGuinness to the side, the reds simply blew Rovers out of the water in the opening twenty one minutes, leading by a scoreline of 2-7 to 0-0.
Centre back Colm Byrne opened the scoring after just one minute with Sean Doyle pointing the second after seven minutes from a free after a foul on Peter Manley. Diarmaid Meleady made it 0-3 to 0-0 in the eight minute before a Keith McGuinness goal in the tenth opened a six point gap.
Further scores from Sean Doyle(2), Keith McGuinness and Stuart Cullen by the twentieth minute opened up a very comfortable ten point lead for Edenderry and just one minute later Sean Doyle banged home his first goal of the day.
Erin Rovers eventually registered their first score of the day in the twenty sixth minute from a free and went on to add two more in the twenty ninth and thirtieth minute.

Erin Rovers opened the scoring in the second half after two minutes but a Sean Doyle goal in the fourth minute ended any hopes of a revival for the home side. Points from Keith McGuinness, Briain Reilly and Colm Byrne extended the reds lead to 3-10 to 0-4 but between the fourteenth and twenty first minute Rovers scored 1-2, (goal from a penalty) while the reds were held scoreless. Briain Reilly hit his second of the game in the twenty fifth minute and Keith McGuinness rounded off the reds scoring with his third in the twenty sixth.
Erin Rovers scored three without reply between the twenty seventh and thirty first minute to leave nine between the sides at full time.
