Ferbane 0-6
Edenderry senior footballers started the defence of their Division One league crown with an 11 point victory over Ferbane on Sunday morning in Edenderry.

The second half proved to be far more entertaining for spectators and substitute Alex Kenny was involved in both of Edenderry's opening scores. The first was a point after twenty seconds from veteran forward Keith McGuinness and just forty seconds later Sean Moriarty shot past the Ferbane goalkeeper after some great work from Sean Doyle and Alex Kenny.

Sean Doyle and Alex Kenny points either side of a Cian Lawton goal tightened Edenderry's grip on the game and they rounded off a good days work with further points from Alex Kenny and Sean Moriarty.
