Seniors beat Clara and maintain 100% record

The senior footballers made it two wins from two as they overcame Clara at Rosderra Weavers field on Friday night.

With eighteen minutes played the reds held a 2-6 0-3 lead courtesy of goals from wily veteran Keith McGuinness and Sean Doyle. Despite the absence of a number of players through injury, Edenderry performed very well and held a half time lead of 2-10 0-7.

Clara started the second half by scoring in the opening forty seconds but points from Mark Abbott, Cian Farrell and Sean Moriarty (2) put Edenderry into a comfortable 2-14 0-8 lead after thirty nine minutes.

A strong spell between the forty seventh and fifty fourth minute saw Edenderry kick five unanswered points with Cian Farrell, Jordan Hayes, Aaron McDonnell and Sean Doyle (2) leading the charge.

The seniors will face Cappincur in two weeks time.
