Senior ladies beaten by Rhode

Edenderry senior ladies played their first game in the 2012 championship on Saturday evening last against near rivals Rhode.Edenderry went into the game missing 2 of their more influential players Riona Byrne and Elisha Hunston and this was always going to be a difficult encounter against the current county champions. Despite a battling performance the girls went down on a final scoreline of 1-16 to 1-6. Edenderry fielded a very youthful side with a number of our Under 16 team featuring and these players will have learned alot from the experience which should be invaluable in the remaining games in the group's round robin games.
