Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton have welcomed a new baby boy to their ever growing family. The royal couple announced the birth of their baby boy on Monday morning at 11.01am and this morning during a FaceTime call to club registrar Angela Delaney they confirmed they have named the baby Prince 'Peter Finbarr Kevin Windsor' .
"William rang to pay his Club 300 membership this morning and to register the newborn as a member of the club and I just asked him had they a name yet" Angela said.
"He told me they were calling him 'Peter Finbarr Kevin' in honour of the three Edenderry lads who were members of the Offaly team that won the Leinster title in 1997" Angela explained.
Peter Brady, Finbarr Cullen and Kevin Guing all represented Edenderry and Offaly with distinction during the golden years of the mid to late 90's which saw the reds win four Dowling cups in seven years.

"Kate is a huge admirer of the senior footballers, gym rats Stephen Guing and Colm Byrne in particular have caught her eye, and she has ordered up to thirty 'Edenderry GAA' baby grows and a new Rationel Windows and Doors sponsored jersey for her little tike. Of course, she didn't want little Prince George to feel left out so she got a new white jersey for him too" a spokeswoman for the Royals confirmed.
The Royal families association with Edenderry GAA dates back to 1957 when during a tour of the Commonwealth the Queen accidentally visited Ireland as it slipped her mind that Ireland no longer recognised the Monarchy and were in fact not a member of her Commonwealth of Nations. To cover up her mistake she explained to the local press that she was in fact just here to watch a match. The game turned out to be the 1957 county final between Edenderry and a much fancied Clara side. Edenderry went on to win the game and she's been a huge reds fan ever since.
