English football manager 'Arry Redknapp has ruled out deadline day moves for Edenderry star footballers Daniel 'Red' Ryan and Ciaran 'Gazza' Farrell.
The former Spurs manager arrived at the gates of Rosderra Gaelic Park this afternoon to rule out the possibility of the two men leaving Edenderry in this transfer window.
"Those two boys are triffic lads, really top players but the truth is I'm in talks to be the junior manager in 2020 and I'd love to keep those two guys. I watched from behind the bushes the other night as they trained in the school field and they were very impressive, top top players, really triffic" Redknapp confirmed.
"Dan Ryan's fitness levels are right up there, similar to Benjani & Kranjcar. I mean he was 50 yards behind Leslie Nolan and Brian Quinlan but yea, top top player. I've told the club if they want me as junior manager it was vital we kept hold of these two guys. I know Gazza has been linked with 'the Clock's' (Clogherinkoe) for the last number of windows but I feel I can the best out of him if he trains hard enough" the former West Ham supremo.
It is believed Dan's mother Rosie has been lighting candles in the hope her son would get a big money move to a club in Dublin as she felt it might make him "cop on and straighten himself out" while Mag Kenny Farrell told our reporter that she blocked any potential move for her son Gazza.
"The little brat never done the dishes last Friday night so he's grounded for the next two weeks. I've disconnected the Sky box so he can't watch Manchester Utd this weekend, although I'm not sure that's a punishment" Mag said.
(Fitness fanatic Red Ryan is rumoured to have turned down Ballyboden as there are no good pubs in the area)
