Offaly Ladies Leinster Win

Edenderry Ladies GAA club would like to congratulate the Offaly ladies footballers who won the Leinster Junior title on Saturday last, beating a fancied Wexford side in Dr. Cullen park in Carlow. The Offaly girls took an early lead and by half time were ahead by 2-9 to 1-6 and kept this good form up in the second half eventually winning on a scoreline of 3-17 to 1-14.

The Edenderry influence was very strong with the management team of Greg Farrelly and Alan Ennis and the club also had 6 players on the panel namely Christine McDonnell, Kym Furey, Shauna Farrelly, Orla Kelly, Ciara Brady and Rebecca Gorman,

Well done to Greg, Alan and all the girls on fantastic achievement. This is the second piece of silverware for the girls having won the division 4 league title earlier in the season and with the All Ireland series now to come the year could get a whole lot better as this team gets stronger with each outing. We wish them all the best for the remainder of the season.
