Offaly GAA Coaching and Games Committee has launched an exciting programme of games for U8, U10 & U12 players of both Hurling and Football.
In total over 1500 games will be played under this programme this summer and each player will be guaranteed 20 games in each code.
The U8 & U10 grades will see a mixed programme of club hosted 'mini blitzes' and one off fixtures between clubs.
The U12 format will consist of a mini league, of 2 groups, with a finals day in O'Connor Park in September where each team will play in a final against the corresponding team in the other group, i.e. 1st place in Group 1 plays 2nd place in Group 2 and so on.
All games will be based on the Go Games model and the rules of the games have been drawn up along the principles of Go Games but tailored to suit the needs of Offaly GAA. The fixtures and rules for each grade are attached in the documents below.
The Go Games Model is defined by the following criteria:
There is full participation for all players
Games are organised in a non competitive way i.e. results are not recorded
Games are small-sided
Playing rules are modified to suit the developmental stages of the children
Playing area is modified
Playing equipment is modified
All of Edenderry's fixtures have been added to the Club Diary however please see links below to the overall programme of fixtures;
