Edenderry 10-18
Gracefield 1-07
The Minor team managed to beat the scoreboard last Saturday in an beautifully prepared Edenderry GAA Grounds - Hats off to Pat Cullen & Seanie McNamara.
It must be said that Gracefield experienced a serious setback prior to the match when a number of their star players were deemed unfit to play. That said, Edenderry were unstoppable and played some beautiful football on route to a huge win. They moved up the field in droves and with speed that Jim Gavin would be proud of.
The game was over by half time but the Reds didn’t take the foot off the pedal and kept he score board ticking – so much so that it couldn’t take anymore and the 10th goal couldn’t be registered on the board!
The Minors now head for the County Final for the 4th time in 7 years. They will play Ferbane or Shamrocks in the final. Their game ended in a 10pt a piece draw last Sunday and the replay will be played next week.
