Following discussions at recent meeting the Executive Committee of the Club will be making a concerted effort to collect membership fees from the adult membership of the Club in the coming weeks. We currently have nearly 300 adult members on our book and 600 underage members. However we feel that we need to make a greater effort to push up both numbers and also to collect fees from every member annually.
Therefore expect a letter in the post or a call from a committee member and play your part by paying your fee. The rates for 2014 are as follows;
· €80 – Family Membership (2 Adults and all children under 18)
· €75 – Adult Player (€35 rate for student/unemployed)
· €20 – Non-playing Adult
· €30 – Youth Player (U8-U18)
· €5 – Senior Citizen
By joining Edenderry GAA you become a members of the family of Gaelic Games and Culture in Edenderry, that includes Football, Hurling & Ladies Football.
Some facts about GAA membership that you may not know;
· Once you join a GAA club, membership continues for life unless the person resign in writing or is expelled.
· However the rights of any member is conditional upon the member paying their annual fee.
· Only full members that pay their fee prior to 31st March 2014 will have voting rights at the 2014 AGM.
· All members are registered in the GAA Database in Croke Park and have a unique ID
· All players, team mentors, committee members and full members carrying out duties on behalf of the club are fully covered by the GAA insurance policy.
· From 2014 all players at all levels must wear a mouth guard – a player can be sent off for not having a mouth guard and their insurance is null and void if they play without one.
