Ladies Underage Blitz

commenced on Saturday last in nearby Rhode and the Edenderry under 10 and under 8 teams acquitted themselves very well on the day with both teams being undefeated and playing some wonderful football along the way in the brilliant sunshine. The under 8 tournament consisted of just two teams with the reds taking on the home team and local rivals Rhode. This was a great sporting game and both teams showed considerable talent and commitment throughout the game. The under 10 team played three games against Rhode, St. Broughans and Naomh Maloise and showed great skill and teamwork in each of the games. We would like to thank all the parents who were there to support the young girls and with two more blitzes to take place the girls will be getting plenty of football over the coming weeks. The panel of players on the evening was as follows

Under 8s – Shauna Comerford, Ava Flynn, Olivia Craig, Elyse Halligan, Jessie Sheridan, Ellie Maher, Jayne Larkin, Norah Larkin, Karen Dunne.
