Edenderry Ladies GAA Notes and News
GAA Dinner Dance
The Edenderry GAA dance held in the Hamlet in Johnstownbridge last Friday night was a great success and a night thoroughly enjoyed by all, well done to the Execute committee on a superbly organised occasion and in particular to David Farrell for his assistance with the ladies club in the preparations. On the night the ladies club gave out two player of the year awards for minor and senior ladies. The Minor award went to Aisling O’Connor and the Senior award to Aoife O’Neill. Both girls were very deserving of their awards and many congrats to you both. The citations used on the night for the girls read as follows.

Renowned as a very solid and dependable defender this lady is the eldest footballer in a family of exceptional ladies footballers. In 2011 this lady captained the Offaly minor footballers to win a Leinster title and is currently on the Offaly ladies senior football panel for 2012. Edenderry Ladies GAA Senior Player of the Year 2011 Citation
Our ladies senior player of the year award goes to a girl who is one of the most committed players in the club who is generally one of the first down to training all year round. She has been playing football for a long number of years and for the past few years has cemented her position on the senior team and played a starring role in helping Edenderry ladies win both County and Leinster titles in 2010.
