American royalty Kim Kardashian and Kayne West are set to return to Edenderry this coming Thursday night when they will host the latest Edenderry GAA fundraiser 'Edenderry's Got Talent'.
The rapper and reality TV star have been regular visitors to Edenderry over the past four years and even stayed at the Auburn Lodge on Colonel Perry Street on their honeymoon in 2014. The pair were spotted leaving Tullamore cinema at the Bridge Centre before being collected by 'Grab a Cab' and brought back to Larkin's snug for a sneaky late pint.
Kim's love for Edenderry GAA came courtesy of her mother Kris's Irish ancestry. Having trawled through the family tree Kris discovered she was a Houghton from St Brigid's road near the site of the current Tesco filling station.
"The Houghton's/Kardashian's/Jenners have been massive Edenderry GAA fans for years now and are currently signed up to Club Red 300. They love coming over for the championship matches. Kim, Kylie and Kourtney were all over in 2010 when Greg Farrelly led the Senior ladies to the Leinster championship victory over Gusserane of Wexford. There was a big BBQ afterwards in Byrnes beer garden and the three girls really enjoyed it. They must have went ate five or six wieners each" a spokesman for Kim stated.
However, this will be the West family's first visit to Edenderry in over one year. The happy couple last stayed in Edenderry in April 2017 but controversy arose when Kanye stormed out of Byrnes Bar in the early hours in a mad rage accusing Kim of 'outrageously flirting' with Edenderry midfielder Stephen Guing.
(Stephen Guing claims him & Kim Kardashian are just friends)
Speaking to the 'Edenderry Topic' at the time of the incident Stephen Guing refuted all allegations and said him and Kim are just friends having met in Chicago the previous year while he was playing football for Padriag Pearse GAA for the summer.
Kim and Kanye returned to the USA the next day to work on their relationship and 9 months later Kim gave birth to a baby girl ironically named 'Chicago'....
This morning, Edenderry GAA club registrar Angela Swords confirmed to RTÉ News that Kim and Kanye are indeed due to attend this Thursday nights event and will join a five person judging panel which will also include Tom Lawton, Pat 'Ago Cullen (formerly known as Elvis Presley) and Mag Furey.
Chairman Willie Forde confirmed his delight that the couple will return to the pavilion despite all the unpleasantness from April 2017. "This is great news right. We're delighted that Kim & your man are coming to the pavilion right. It's going to be a great night and we're expecting a great crowd right" Forde confirmed.
