Killeigh 2-10- 1-8 Edenderry................................................
Edenderry juniors were beaten by five points on Friday night but have still qualified for the knockout stages for the first time since 2010 and they will take on Kilcormac in two weeks.
The reds started the stronger and wing back Stephen Abbott pointed with just forty seconds on the clock. Last years player of the year John Gorman extended Edenderry's lead after three minutes but in the sixth and and twelfth minute Killeigh pointed to tie the game.
Just one minute later a long ball in to the square by Gary Blong was fumbled by the goalkeeper and Cormac Hurley picked up the rebounded and shot to the back of the net. Killeigh immediately pointed twice to reduce the deficit to one but a Philip Farrell free in the seventeenth minute gave Edenderry a two point lead.
The game was level after twenty two minutes when Killeigh hit another two points but scores from Philip Farrell and Jamie Dolan gave the reds back their lead in the thirtieth minute. However deep into stoppage time the home side punished some sloppy defending and careless marking from Edenderry when the grabbed a goal in the thirty second minute.
Half Time:

Edenderry never regained the lead although they did level it briefly in the tenth minute when Cormac Hurley pointed with his left foot. In the fifteenth and nineteenth minute Killeigh stretched their lead to two and also missed a penalty which it the upright and bounced away.
Oran Lawton scored Edenderry's second point of the half after twenty six minutes to leave just one between the sides but when Edenderry gave away a free just a minute later, it was moved up to the fourteen yard line for ill discipline.
Jamie Dolan hit his second of the game with a minute to go but all hope was lost in the thirtieth minute when Killeigh got in for a late goal. They quickly followed it up with another point to leave five between the sides at full time.
