KINNITTY - 0-18
EDENDERRY 1-07
JUNIOR ‘A’ HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP
The DERMOT HALL sponsored Junior ‘A’ Hurling Team played Kinnitty in round 2 of the Championship on Saturday last. The final score of 0-18 to 1-07 flatters the south Offaly side and Edenderry were in this game right up until the end. They battled hard throughout and were unlucky not to get a penalty at a crucial time – when Shane Kelly was fouled.
It has been a tough start to the Championship but KK and Kinnitty are probably the best teams in the group and particularly at the early stages before they lose players to higher graded teams.
The Reds continue to work and will have games against Tullamore, Drumcullen and others and have a great chance of exiting the group.
