Eight Edenderry Coaches achieved Level 1 Coaching status on Saturday last following a 14 hour course ran over 2 weekends.
Keith McGuinness, John Mason, Willie Forde, Ken Breen, Mick Bryan, Greg Farrelly, Declan Carroll & Niall Comerford all qualified on Saturday and they will join David Cullen, Declan Farrell & Declan McCraith who previously qulaified at this level from our cuurent batch of coaches. This is an excellent achievement personally for the lads themselves and also for the Club.
For our coaches to be operating at this level is a core aim of our current five year strategy and it is our intention at that each team in 2014 will have a Level 1 qualified coach as part of the management team.
Many thanks to Alan Mulhall, John Leahy & Keith Begley for a very well run course and our coaches were very impressed with the material and how it was presented. In addition to our coaches there were coaches from other clubs and the lads gave the course to a total of 24 people.

Many thnaks also to Pat Cullen for having the hall and training pitch ready for the sessions and also to Ellie Mooney & Mary McNamara for providing refreshments for all the coaches and tutors over the duration of the course.
