Beyonce rubbishes rumours of relationship with Senior captain Colm Byrne

Pop sensation Beyonce has rubbished reports of a relationship with Edenderry senior football captain Colm Byrne.

Many of Ireland's national tabloids ran the story on Monday after the pair were spotted leaving O'Donoghue's pub, or Damo's as it's known locally, in the early hours of Sunday morning. The pair were photographed together boarding Johnny Crosbie's taxi but the 'Crazy in Love' singer insists the pair are just good friends.

"Colm is a nice little fella but we are not seeing each other. Right now I just want to focus on my kids, my music and my marriage" the Texas native said of the pint sized footballer.

Beyonce first became aware of Colm after he helped Edenderry to win the Dowling cup in 2011 while playing at number 5 but it was in 2015 after he starred at centre back for Edenderry as they lifted their 11th county title that they became close and were first romantically linked.

Speaking to the Edenderry Topic back in October 2015 Beyonce said "In fairness I have to say I was always one for having a big strong centre back, a Sean Grennan type player you know, a big hardy c**t, but Colm completely changed my perspective. Now it's all about being mobile and fitting into a system and by God Colm done that to a tee". She knows her football does the bowld Beyonce!

The Edenderry captain was unavailable for comment but his personal assistant Mr Quinlan released this brief statement earlier today.

"Colm is fully focused on recovering from injury at the moment. He is in the gym seven days a week doing his best to have a better six pack than Keith McGuinness".

Head groundsman Pat 'Ago' Cullen advised while it's great to hear that Colm is back in the gym after his injury he can "stay off the jasus pitch he'll ruin the fecking thing".
