Edenderry fielded two teams of 13,both teams played 2 games each,10 mins each half.The skill level on show from all teams was a joy to watch and the enjoyment the kids got out of these games, all kids got equal time in each game. Edenderry gave a great account in both games and won 3 out of the 4 games. All games were very competitive as all clubs played the games in the spirit of the Go Games rules. At the end of the blitz Ferbane club had organised GAA Hall of Fame winner Tony McTeague to present all the kids who took part a medal. The Ferbane Club deserve great credit for the way the blitz was organised .The players that took part in the blitz were; Team 1.Ben Whelan ,Mark Whelan ,Mark Byrne ,Joe Bergin ,Jim Bergin,Thomas OConnell,Josh Reilly ,Aiorans ,Ross Blong ,Cathal Tyrell, Daragh Norman. Team 2 Mark Forde,Donal Harris ,Jake Connelly,Dylan Byrne,Steven Davy, Aaron Murphy ,Cian Murphy ,Micheal Brady, Tienan mc Glynn ,Dean Mullally,Daniel o Connell and Billy Cang. This weeks see the start of our skills competition to be run over the next few weeks at the end of each training session ,so all players to be down in the GAA at 6.30 sharp on Tue with their shooting boots on. |
