Spring Sessions - 'Dual Code Coaching'

Spring Series of under-age coaching to focus on both codes;

The under-age season is to commence in earnest in the coming weeks as the club launch a number of new initiatives in relation to the youngest age groups.  The Spring Series of coaching session will focus on both hurling and football during the same 1 hour sessions.  This new departure aims to promote both of our fantastic games among our growing numbers at under-age level.  We have lots of enthusiastic coaches ready to go and parents are welcome to get involved if you are interested - just approach one of our Coaches at the sessions.  More details for each age group is set out below;

*Membership can be Paid Online (CLICK HERE for Rates) or at the venue - this covers all players for insurance all medical expenses incurred in the event of any injury.

**Remember Mouthguards & Helmets are mandatory.  (The club can provide a limited number of Helmets)

CÚL REDZ - Spring Series (Football & Hurling for Boys & Girls); - SAT 10-11
  • Building on the remarkably successful Summer Sessions of CÚL REDZ we have decided to run a 9 week Spring programme of CÚL REDZ for 5-8 year olds
  • This will consist of basic hurling and football drills to teach the Fundamentals to the children - with the emphasis on FUN
  • The sessions will be held in St. Mary's School Hall
  • The sessions will be 1 hour in duration (10am to 11am) commencing Sat. 23rd Feb. 
  • The CÚL REDZ - Summer Programme will then commence toward the end of April into May
  • The Offaly Go Games programme will commence in June for U8 Hurlers & footballers.
U10 Boys; MON 7-8
  • From Mon. 25 Feb to Mon. 25 Mar. A 6 week indoor programme will focus on the skills in both codes in a fun and relaxed environment
  • The U10 Hurlers & Footballers will then play the Fr. McWey street leagues through the month of April before commencing their Offaly Go Games programme in May
  • The Offaly Go Games programme for the U10 hurlers and footballers will consist a series of Blitzes over the summer months - alternating between hurling one week and football the next. 
U12 Boys; TUE 6.30 - 7.30
  • From Tue. 26 Feb to Tue. 26 Mar. A 6 week indoor programme will focus on the skills in both codes in a fun and relaxed environment
  • The Offaly Go Games - League Programme for the U12 hurlers and footballers will commence in April and run through to August
  • In August an U13 League will commence and be played into October.
