Edenderry's senior ladies suffered a big defeat on Monday afternoon in the opening round of the Senior football championship. The red ladies trailed by just two points at half time 0-7 0-5 but five goals in the second half helped Naomh Ciaran to a comfortable twenty two point win in the end.
