CÚL REDZ Session 2

posted 24 Jun 2011, 07:18 by Serva sport
Another super day at CÚL REDZ at Edenderry GAA Club on Saturday morning last. Over 110 children and 20 coaches combined to make it a successful session.

THe morning started with a fun warm up before we broke the group into U6's and U8's in order for them to complete their skills and agility training. Working in groups of 6-8 at each drill station the children were supervised and instructed in basic skills by 2-3 coaches per station. The system worked very well with all children getting an opportunity for one on one coaching and instruction.

Following the skills work the groups moved onto to some fun mini games of football. The children really enjoyed this aspect of the session before they went to the fun realy to finish up. Wth some great cheering and encouragement from the players, parents and coaches the relay was great sport. At the finish the children were given some refreshments after all their hard work. Thanks to Willy Forde for provding the refreshments for the children.

Remember to check out the CÚL REDZ section of the website for the latest news on the sessions and also the photogallery and video gallery for pics and videos of the sessions.

The coaching continues next Saturday at 10.30 am - new players and families are always welcome.
